This the pattern I use for my Bowhats. This calls for medium weight size 4 yarn (red heart) and an I9/5.5mm hook.

This pattern works up very quickly and easily. Photos show various possibilities. If you still have questions feel free to ask!

Stitches used are MR, Ch, SL ST, HDC. This is an easy pattern to intermediate.
