Bow Tie or Hair Bow Appliqué
- Ch-1 at the beginning of a row does not count as a st.
- Keep your tension fairly tight to minimize gaps.
- A finished bow tie measures about 3.75” x 2.25”.
- Because the bow tie starts with fsc and ends with regular sc, one side tends to look a little bigger than the other. I found that using a G hook for the first row helped a bit, but you might also want to block the finished bow tie to even things out.
- Projects made in sc tend to curl up at the edges. If your bow tie doesn’t like to lie flat, try blocking it or starching it.
