A ZIGGY-ZAGGY SHAWL

The shawl is knit in garter stitch, which makes it a quick and easy project. The knitting starts with only a few stitches, which increase by one stitch on each white right-side row and on the last rainbow row. The colour wedges are created using short-rows. This makes the white fields point towards the straight edge, and the rainbow fields point towards the increase edge.

Bowie is made for 2-ply wool yarn from the ­Swedish ­company Ullcentrum, but is easy to adapt and works well with any sport-weight yarn. Ullcentrum was ­established in 1998 and produces yarn and other wool products from only Swedish wool, from breeds such as Finewool and Gotland sheep.
