Bows on toes
I wanted to create a design that a knitter new to stranded colour work would not find too intimidating or daunting. I decided a little bit of colour work just after the toe would be perfect (okay, so I repeated the colour work before the cuff – I couldn’t help myself).
The socks are knit toe up with a heel flap and gusset. A fun and engaging knit, topped off with either ribbing or a picot hemmed cuff.
You will require 40-50 g of yarn in 2 different colours.
The “standard” pattern includes a simple step by step example of how I work LBJ as well as a simple photo tutorial of how to join the picot hem.
The instructions for the construction of the socks are written and the colour work pattern is both written and charted.
A low vision accessible version of this pattern is also available. It includes 24 point Arial all black text, no italics, no columns or tables, and fully written instructions. There is a chart included, but the chart is not needed to complete the pattern.
Thank you to yarnymama, Mayellago, caffknits, Peebs and other testers.
A huge thanks also to Condichick, yarnymama and SNSSO for their ongoing valued advice, guidance, feedback and encouragement.
