I designed this V-neck sweater on a US 10 (6 mm) needle because I wanted one at this gauge with a deep V-neckline. The samples were knit in Fingering & Mohair held together; however, you can use DK or Worsted as well. It will fly off your needles! I added simple texture to the hemline and sleeves.

This sweater is knit top-down making it very easy to alter the length of the sleeves or body. I’ve included both hip- and tunic- lengths, with optional A-line shaping increases. This is an intermediate or adventuresome advanced beginner sweater featuring a box top fit with neckline short rows, dropped shoulders, a deep V-neckline, and long sleeves.

Enjoy!

Hip-Length - Pink

Note: Size 3 45.5-inch (115.5 cm) bust circumference in the hip-length is the line between 2 or 3 skeins of fingering weight yarn, and 3 or 4 of the 25 grams skeins of mohair. I was able to finish with 2 skeins of sock with only 10 grams left, and 3 skeins of mohair with only 7 grams left. If you are comfortable potentially shortening the body or sleeves if you are running short, then you can adjust the skein recommendations above for Size 3.
