Crochet pattern «Amigurumi Box truck»

This tutorial contains a detailed pattern of crochet Box Truck.
When using similar materials, the length of the toy will be about 14”.
You can crochet a toy from any yarn, only you will have to choose the size of hooks yourself.

All patterns are written in standard US terms.
The pattern does not contain basic course of crocheting – you should already have the basic knowledge!

To crochet you need:

  • plush yarn Himalaya Dolphin Baby, Yarnart Dolce or analogues (100% polyester, 100g/120 mt or 3,53 oz/131 yrds):
  • BLACK color – a little more than 1 skein;
  • BLUE color (cabin color) – 1 skein;
  • WHITE (van color) – 1 skein;
  • GRAY (van edging and small details) – ¼ of skein;
  • RED (for tail lights and gas tank, if desired);
  • ORANGE (only for turn signals) – you can use any other yarn;
  • fine acrylic or cotton yarn (approximately 150-200m/50g, 330-440 yards/100gr):
  • BLACK – for embroidering the outline of doors and small details;
  • RED – for option № 2 taillights (instead of plush yarn);
  • WHITE – for license plates;
  • 4 mm hook /US size G for plush yarn and 2,5mm hook for fine yarn;
  • thick cardboard (you can use cardboard from 2 liter juice boxes, shoe boxes);
  • black chenille wire (fluffy), or any other for the rigidity of the rear beam – 10-12” - desirable, but not necessary;
  • fiberfiller;
  • scissors and pencil;
  • stitch markers, needles or pins for fixing parts when sewing;
  • long yarn needle (with a blunt end and large eye).
