A simple dishcloth made with knit and purl stitches, this pattern is perfect for the beginner. The horizontal purls give the square a raised effect, while the vertical purls show a semblance of ribbing.

This is shown in Red Heart Soft, but I would use Sugar ‘n Cream or some other kind of cotton yarn if you’re making a dishcloth.
