Yarn: Caron Simply Soft in 1 skein-315 yards of blue plus 50 yards each of black and white

I used a sturdy, crochet base with a matching 5.5mm hook, but I also provided instructions for a knit base. The rest of the pattern is knit.

For blue in Caron Simply Soft, I used Ocean, but Celestial or Dark Country Blue could be used. I considered many dark blues and navy blues, but never midnight blue or royal blue. For the white, I used Off-white and, for the black, I used Black.

The pattern may be worked entirely from the chart or entirely from the written portion, but I would recommend checking out both.
