Child’s stylish jacket with pockets and optional hood.

This jacket was designed especially for Oliver. This little man (6 years old) really knows what he wants. He just loves to wear hand knitted soft and cozy garments, and particularly wanted a jacket with pockets (to hold any little treasures he has found), a hood, to keep his ears warm and lastly and most importantly a zipper (much easier than buttons to close). He now is one very happy little boy!!!

Approx age - 2 : 3 : 4 : 6 : 8 : 10 years
Chest measures - 55 : 58 : 60 : 65 : 70 : 75 approx

MATERIALS REQUIRED 50 gram balls of Patons Totem Classic 8ply
Main colour - 8 : 9 : 10 : 11 : 12 : 13
For Hood 1 : 2 : 2 : 2 : 2 : 2
Contrast Colour 1 ball
One pair 4.00mm(US6 : UK 8) needles
One pair 4.00mm(US6 : UK 8) double pointed needles or Circular needles
Stitch holder
Open ended zipper to fit

TENSION for Jumper
22 stitches x 32 rows over 10cm (4 in) square worked in pattern on 4.00mm

Being an Australian designer I use UK/Australian terminology, however I do realise this may cause some confusion.
