Boy's Top-Down Raglan Sleeve Polo Sweater
This is a nicely striped & buttoned crochet pullover for little boys who wear sizes 6, 8,10 & 12. It’s done practically all in one piece with a minimal of sewing/seaming up. The yarn is a dk weight and the hooks used are F-5 & G-7.
To make this, you will use chains, single crochet, double crochet, double crochet decreases, front post double crochet, back post double crochet and slip stitches. I provide you with clearly written, detailed instructions -- with only the most minimal of abbreviations.
EXPERIENCE LEVEL
Intermediate
• You will be making front and back post double crochet stitches to form the waist band and sleeve cuffs.
• You will be making double crochet decreases at the end of each sleeve round as you work down toward the wrist.
SIZES/FINISHED CHEST MEASUREMENT
6: 26 inches
8: 28 inches
10: 30 inches
12: 32 inches
NOTE
Because it is worked from the top down, you can have your little boy try the sweater on as you go along, so you can make the hemline and sleeves as long or short as you want them to be.
