This blanket is knit on straight needles. The center rectangle is knit first (on US Size 9 needles), then the braided cable is knit around the edge (with US Size 10.5 needles), picking up and decreasing an edge stitch with every other row.

Corners are worked in short rows. Instead of wrapping stitches, k2togfb is used to close the gap. (Instructions in the pattern.)

Yarns used: Loops and Threads Impeccable Yarn (worsted weight (4); 100% acrylic; 285 yards/127.5 grams), 2 skeins of Pale Gray and 2 skeins of Navy.
