DESCRIPTION
Let the summer times roll. This Braided Bralette is just as much fun to knit in the summer as it is to wear. Though it says “bralette” in the title, don’t be deceived – this top can also be the cutest spaghetti strap cami that is perfect to wear with or without a bra. This pattern is designed with 4-6 inches of negative ease in the underbust, as well as 4-6 inches of negative ease in the full bust.

This bralette is designed to FIT. In this pattern, you will find multiple customizations for the perfect fit for your bust. So whether you have 2 inches between your under bust and full bust, or 12, this pattern is easily adjustable (and tells you how) to get the fit you want.

Knit in the round for most of the piece, this bralette is worked bottom up and is written in 9 customizable sizes – 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9). The model pictured is wearing the size 2 for the ribbing and size 3 for the cups. She is 5’7”, 148 pounds, and has a bust of 36.5” in circumference, for reference.

Knit flat, and in the round.

1 – 28-30” bust
2 – 32-34” bust
3 – 36-38” bust
4 – 40-42” bust
5 – 44-46” bust
6 – 48-50” bust
7 – 52-54” bust
8 – 56-58” bust
9 – 60-62” bust

You will need to know how to cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch, work flat, knit in the round, cable, increase, and decrease.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

• 2 (Sizes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,), 3 (Sizes 6, 7, 8, 9) balls of Lion Brand Yarn Superwash Merino (pictured in ‘Hemp’) OR approximately 350 (385, 475, 550, 610) (670, 700, 770, 845) yards/ 320 (352, 434, 503, 558) (613, 640, 704, 773) meters of DK weight yarn, category 3
• US 8/5mm circular needles, 16”/40 cm long (Sizes 8+9 may prefer a 24”/60 cm cord)
• US 8/5mm circular needles, 24”/60 cm long (Sizes 8+9 may prefer a 32”/81 cm cord)
• 2 x US 8/5mm Double Pointed Needles for icord
• 3 stitch markers (1 a different color for BOR)
• Darning needle
• Sewing elastic (optional)
• Measuring tape
