The Braided Breeze Belt + Necklace was inspired by the African rope necklace. A rope necklace can be made from printed fabric to create unique color combinations and patterns that would be impossible to replicate with yarn, but multi-colored yarns make for a fun, unique look.

If you don’t have a bulky yarn to use, double up a worsted weight yarn. This is a great stash buster project.

This pattern difficulty is an Advanced Beginner.

Materials Needed:
Hook: M/9mm
Yarn: Bernat Maker Outdoor, (8.8oz, 249yd): 1; Bernat Mosiac Yarn (3.5 oz, 209 yards): 2 skeins, held double, or 5 oz of any bulky weight yarn:
Stitch Markers
Scissors
Large eye needle
