The pattern is for newborn size, 0-3m, 3-6m, 6-12m and 12-24m.

You will need yarn, knitting needles, a cabling needle, and a tapestry needle or crochet hook to weave in the yarn ends and also the same tapestry needle to graft stitches at the back of the bonnet.
Since this bonnet is knit flat, you can use any knitting needles you like. I prefer using ether long circulars, or long straight “afghan” knitting needles.
Prior experience with cables is helpful - but not necessary, i have everything explained step by step and with photos of every step!
