Braided Crown Headband
-This pattern uses 12 point Arial font with minimal use of italics
-From 9/14/20-9/21/20, this pattern is FREE-
Using a provisional cast on, this head band is knit side to side and then grafted seamlessly together using kitchener stitch. The 4 row cable repeat is easy to memorize and easy to work. The head band will fly off your needles and onto your head before you know it!
Yarn/Yardage- Samples was knit with I Love This Cotton (100% cotton; 153 yards per 85 grams) in the Spunky and Pink, Teal, and Orange Print colorways. Any 20-25 grams of DK to Worsted weight yarn will do.
Gauge- Approximately 5 sts per inch. As this is a head band knit length wise, gauge doesn’t really matter. Just note headband may measure either wider or narrower if gauge differs.
Needles- US 7 (4.5mm) needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
Notions- Scissors, scrap yarn, yarn needle, cable needle, and crochet hook for provisional cast on.
