This pattern is perfect for all weather and all ages. No matter what size ring you use, if you make the head wider with more starting stitches it will work perfectly as a warm, soft, stretchy ear warmer. For toddler and child sizes we recommend using a 1 ¼” size ring. For adult sizes, we recommend using a 2” ring.
Keep in mind this pattern can be extremely stretchy depending on the yarn you use. There are average size estimates included in the pattern but it might be better to follow your instincts if you want a looser or tighter fit.

NOTE:
Ravelry does not allow me to enter the exact gauge. You will find the correct gauge in the pattern.
YARN:
The yarn mentioned, malabrigo mecha is not required. It is just a yarn that we used. You can use any size 4 or 5. We recommend a thin size 5.

MATERIALS:
5 mm Crochet Hook (H)
Weight: Worsted (size 4)
- For size 4 yarn a rough estimate would be 40-80 yards.
Weight: Bulky (Size 5)
- For size 5 yarn a rough estimate would be 60-100 yards.
1 ¼ - 2” Wooden Ring
Darning needle
Scissors
Measuring Tape
Stitch markers (optional)
