Braided Vest
Inspiration to create this vest were landscapes with natural gardens and cottages. I chose it for my first pattern because it’s a big part of me, bringing back childhood memories, when I spent my days in grandparents’ cottage. This vest has a simple shape with a bit of fun in a stitch combination. It evokes the vibe of vintage and academia style.
Braided Vest is a measure yourself style pattern. You can choose a yarn and a hook size. You will be setting your own stitch count according to your measurements and your swatch.
Approximate amount of yarn needed, based on showed vest:
Adult bust size 71 cm/28” to 152 cm/60” require approximately between 1500 and 2200 meters/ 1650 and 2400 yards of Drops Alpaca Mix (I used it held double strand for this project) or a similar weight yarn
Difficulty: Intermediate - would be good if you are comfortable with crocheting and did several projects before. This design includes special stitches and seaming.
