Brain Drain-ed, A Graphica Pattern
This pattern came about because of my needing something simple, but not boring to work on. I decided on helical knitting with a bit of interest and Brain Drain-ed were born. Meant to be a graphically interesting pattern, these socks will work best when you use yarns with a good contrast and no overlapping colors. That said, you can go with a more subtle contrast too, as long as there is some distinction to the 2 colors.
This pattern features an Afterthought/Forethought style heel, with contrasting toes, heels and cuff.
YOU get to decide where you want your diamonds and how many you want to work. If you want a few large ones, a whole lot of small ones, or a mix of sizes, you are a boss of these socks. Someone called them a ‘choose your adventure’ knit and that is a good description. You choose.
You can also choose Top Down or Toe-Up, which ever way you prefer to work. Both files will be in your library.
One last thing, I also included a mitts pattern, just for fun.
Thank you to all those who helped with testing, including WannaCoffee, patipoint, Kmoran69, Eternalknitter , bellybuttonknits, and Helluvamimi. You gals are the best!
