These brainy slippers are super warm and overall a very smart project. :) I designed these for a friend and can’t wait to make a pair for myself as well. To make them more durable I cut out a foot shaped sole (using my slippered foot as a guide) and sewed it to the slipper bottom.

For the needles, I put down what I use for the pattern (the slipper pattern actually calls for size 13 needles but I usually go down a size to make a more fitted slipper).

The “pattern” found on the website linked is not a complete written pattern, but uses a slipper pattern and then a very long I-cord to make the brain pattern on the slippers. While not a true pattern, the notes on the site are very helpful.
