Branching Brioche Shawl
Dive into the world of cloudy suri alpaca softness and knit this gorgeous new semicircular shawl in two-color brioche. This new addition to the Westknits brioche shawl family is one of the simplest brioche shawl patterns to knit. The relaxing rows have a soothing repetitive rhythm with expanding brioche increases that form branching segments in the fabric. Two skeins of Qing Fibre’s Yak Singles with four skeins of Melted Baby Suri create a stunningly fluid fabric full of lofty softness and a delicate heathered sheen. A picot bind off finishes this large topdown shawl. You can easily customize the size by simply binding off early or continue knitting as many pattern repeats as you like for the brioche shlanket of your dreams!
Finished Measurements
80″ / 203cm wingspan length, 44″ / 112cm from CO to BO edge measured along the center. Measurements taken after blocking.
The size is easy to customize by knitting more repeats for a larger shawl or knit fewer pattern repeats and bind off early for a smaller shawl.
