This shawl is all about texture! From the squish of garter and a contemporary spin on old shale lace, you will love making and wearing this beautiful worsted/aran weight shawl. I made mine in just 13 hours of knitting, which was long before I was ready to stop!

When it comes to yarn, go wild! Pick 4 skeins of one color and 1 skein each of 3 coordinating colors (7 skeins total) of worsted or aran weight yarn.

Yarn requirements
450-500 yards of Color 1
150-175 yards each of Colors 2, 3 and 4
Worsted or Aran weight

If you’re a beginner, this pattern is a great introduction to shawl knitting: there may be a couple of new-to-you techniques, but you should get along just fine!
