Brawley is the epitome of knitting magic. The multi-color tubular cast-on sounds complicated and looks impressive, but is worked quite simply using a crochet cast-on. When the scarf is completed these initial stitches are gently pulled out and Voila! there is a tidy edge. To mirror this effect, the opposite edge is worked using a Kitchener stitch bind-off, with step by step instructions included in the pattern directions. Worked longways, Brawley appears to be woven.

With minimal finishing, Brawley will be around your neck soon after it’s off the needles.
