My mom is a huge collector of my crocheted goodies. When Mother’s Day rolls around, I always try to think of something new and fun to make for her. This Bread Loaf Letter-Organizer is actually the gift I designed for her for Mother’s Day 2014. My parents get a lot of mail. I have no idea if this organizer can actually hold all of it, but even my dad said, “Hey, that’s just what your mom needs!“ If Dad approves, you know you have a winner! The mail at my childhood home lives in the kitchen, so I thought that a cute and squishy bread loaf would do nicely!

TOOLS
H/8 (5.0 mm) crochet hook
tapestry needle
stitch marker
14 gauge jewelry wire (or a more heavy-duty wire
of a similar gauge)
wire cutters
polyester stuffing
4” (10 cm) x 5” (12.5 cm) white florists foam 1” (2.5 cm) thick
serrated knife to cut foam
can or jar for shaping wire, craft glue (optional)

Gauge
16 sts x 19 rows in sc = 4” (10 cm).
