The Bread of Heaven hat was originally designed as a gift for a friend of mine who was ordained as a deacon, to celebrate her ministry. It features some simple but effective cabling depicting the cross, and some cable detail in the ribbing. It’s made with DK yarn so it’s a perfect weight for autumn and winter.

Needles and Notions:
5 x 3.75mm (or size required for gauge) DPNS or long 3.75mm circular needle (at least 100cm) for magic loop
Yarn needle for sewing in ends
Locking stitch marker to denote beginning of round
Scissors

Suggested yarn:
Novita Muumitalo, 1 x 100g ball

Gauge:
6 stitches and 7 rounds per inch/2.5cm
