I am currently in the process of updating this pattern. The update will include additional sizes, and I am also reknitting the sample to better show the stitch pattern.

I created this hat as a sort of challenge to myself. I purchased a skein of yarn I liked the color of, and then decided I was not going to allow it pool without at least making an attempt to change it up a bit. With crossed over stitches and texture, this is what I came up with.

This hat does have a slightly slouchy fit on people who don’t have heads as large as mine.

The patterning continues into the decreases, and there are no charts at this point in time, so be careful when you reach the decreases. Because of these decreases, if you need a slightly larger or smaller hat, it would be better to try seeing how a change in gauge would work rather than trying to add or remove stitches.
