Break of Dawn
Break of Dawn is a one skein wonder for your favourite fingering weight yarn. This quick-to-knit crescent shawl has a garter stitch body and diamond lace border. It’s worked from the top down and there’s no purling!
The garter stitch body is decorated with evenly placed eyelet stripes. The beautiful diamond lace is worked on right side rows only and the pattern is easy to memorise after a few repeats.
Break of Dawn looks great in solid, semi-solid and slightly speckled yarns. Which one will you choose?
YARN
One skein of La Bien Aimée Merino Singles (100% merino wool; 366 m / 400 yds per 100 g). Shown in colour Dawn.
Or approximately 352 m / 385 yds of similar fingering weight wool yarn.
NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size to obtain pattern gauge
This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using 80 – 100 cm / 32 – 40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
