Breakaway
Barely visible footprints lead a lone trail away from the gathering by the beach, imprinted gently in the sand. The horizon over the ocean has turned a dusky watercolor of golds & purples. Seagulls dot the waterline in the distance, soaring & swooping through the early summer’s breeze. A moment in time, a quick breakaway from the crowd, to drink in the ocean & seek the gentle solitude that acts as a balm for the soul. Peace is found in these moments.
