I’ve chosen to knit the cowl with much smaller needles than the band suggests for two reasons. Firstly, it’s quite cold where I live and I didn’t want the wind to seep through the inevitable spaces between my stitches, and secondly, I felt the denser look suited the pattern just perfectly.

Please feel free to knit with bigger needles, thicker yarn and let your creativity flow with patterning. It’s a great leftover project (as I did in my picture with the added bit of red)
