I wanted a newsboy hat that my husband would wear which would be similar to the ones that he buys and wears all the time anyway. All of the patterns I found didn’t have the top of the hat folding over the brim, so I had to write one myself. I used Lion Brand Wool Ease but you could use any wool of similar weight. I started with size 8- 16 inch circulars and then changed to dpn’s at the end when it got too small to work on the circulars any more.

This pattern involves two types of short rows but the instructions are clear and easy to follow. I hope you enjoy making this hat!
