Gauge is only a guideline for measurements. Correct gauge is not essential for this project unless you are working with a limited quantity of yarn.

The body (the stockinette part) is worked sideways. This provides that the you can adjust the width and length of the body.

The lace border is attached using a special and easy method. The sts will be distributed evenly and automatically by this method. This means there is no annoying effort to distribute sts evenly. It happens “automatically”.

Pattern includes also instructions how to recalculate sts for the lace border if you adjust length and width of the body.
