The Breast Cancer Awareness scarf and hat set would make a wonderful breast cancer survivor gift, or for a loved one undergoing treatment.
SKILL LEVEL:
o Basic/Beginner
o Easy – You will need to know how to SC, DC, HDC, HDC2TOG, Bean stitch, work in front/back loops and 3rd loop of HDCs.
o Intermediate
o Complex/Advanced
MATERIALS NEEDED:
o Any medium worsted (#4) weight yarn, approximately 550 yards. I used Hobby Lobby’s I Love this Yarn in:
o Pink (2 skeins)
o Graymist (1 skein)
o US size H-8 (5 mm) hook and size 7 (4.5 mm), or sizes needed to obtain gauge
o Tapestry needle
Optional:
o Stitch marker
o Steam Iron/garment steamer
o Foam Mats
o T pins
o Faux fur pom pom
SCARF SIZING:
One size
Width: 6.5 inches
Length: 60 inches (not including fringe)
HAT SIZING:
One size
Adult with a head circumference of 20-22 inches
All patterns are in English, using US standard crochet terms. I have added a lot of working pictures to help clarify how I completed this project.
