“Bree”

This is a shawl that I have tried to incorporate stitches into to represent the Scottish Thistle.

It’s a piece with a wedding in mind but, of course with your colour choices it maybe used for any event or occasion including everyday with jeans and your favourite top.

I have created it in a merino silk base to allow a beautiful drape to the finished piece and the feel of the fabric is luxury against the skin.

It is triangular in shape with a steady pattern repeat for the majority of the shawl, I have then played with the concept of the thistle and created the colour detail which could incorporate your wedding colours if you are creating with your special day in mind.

The finished approx. dimensions of the shawl are…. 97cm neck to point and 170cm wingspan.

It’s suitable for intermediate beginner upwards and I hope you carry my thoughts whilst creating and enjoy the finished shawl.
