Note
This long vest is worked from the top down starting with the
upper back. First, the upper back, neckline, shoulders, and front V-neck are worked flat. These sections are then put on hold as the remainder of the back is worked in the opposite direction from the cast-on. At the underarms the front and back are joined and worked in the round. The front and back are divided again at the hip and worked flat separately to the hem. Lastly, stitches are picked up around the neckline and worked for a neat finish.

Notes
後ろ身頃上部の作り目から編み始め, トップダウンで編むロングベスト. 背中, 後襟ぐり, 肩, 前身頃のVネックの襟ぐりを往復編みで編んだ後, 後ろ身頃も作り目から逆方向に往復編みで編み, 脇下からは前後身頃を合体して輪で編む. 腰骨付近でまた前後身頃を分け, それぞれ往復編みで裾まで編む. 最後に襟ぐりの処理をする.
