Breezy Butterfly
This super addictive, quick and adorable Breezy Butterfly pattern will soon become one of your favourites!
Once you get the hang of these you’ll be making them so quickly.
Butterflies are made in one piece in only 2 rounds + 2 rows, with no sewing required.
Testers made these in around 15-20 minutes from start to finish!
If you follow my process you’ll only have one yarn end to weave in after completing your butterfly.
The Breezy Butterfly pattern comes with:
a full video tutorial
a complete photo tutorial
a clearly written pattern in separate PDFs for US and UK terms
email support
The easy to follow pattern has been very thoroughly tested and tech edited.
There are so many great ideas for using this design:
- Make as a cute Valentine’s Day gift. It’s easy and quick enough to make a number of them
- Make a collection in your chosen colour scheme to feature on your dining table
- Butterflies make perfect needle & stitch marker minders. Stitch markers store beautifully on the edge of the lacy wings
- They make wonderful random acts of crochet kindness
- They’re gorgeous on both sides, so they’ll also work well for a mobile, garland (vertical or horizontal) or a bag charm
- Make a bunch in your favourite colours and add to a wreath base for a seasonal wreath
- Add to wrapped gifts as a cute topper
- Make one for each child as a party favour
- Make different sizes and colours of butterflies to decorate your walls
- Create a mobile for your baby’s room
- Make a pair of tiny earrings using embroidery thread
- Make in crochet thread (#3 or #10) and attach to a key chain as a charm, a length of crochet cord as a bookmark, or a necklace for a pendant
Almost any yarn weight can be used for this project, with corresponding hook size.
Suggested hook sizes are given inside the pattern for 6 yarn weights from Lace weight up to Bulky weight.
I recommend using a hook size that you would normally use for your chosen yarn, or the size recommended on the yarn ball band.
Other Supplies:
Yarn Scissors
Tapestry needle
Stitch markers x 3, optional.
Finished size:
Finished sizes for butterflies made with 6 yarn weights are given inside the PDF.
I look forward to seeing your creativity with this one, and can’t wait to see what you come up with.
Lots of love, Joy xx
