This breezy shell tank top is super easy to make. This tank is constructed in two simple pieces which are then stitched up the sides. The color change at the bodice and the short slit up the side add to the visual appeal.

Coral or Moss- 400 (550, 700, 850) yards
Stone- 30 (70, 100, 130) yards
yardage is based on XS size, you will need more for larger sizes. You can substitute any natural fiber #3 weight yarn

ch(s) – chain(s), dc – double crochet, st(s) – stitch(es), WS – wrong side, RS – right side

SPECIAL STITCHES

FSC-Foundation Single Crochet
ch2. Insert hook in 1st ch yarn over and pull up loop (2 loops on hook), yarn over and pull through 1 loop, creating a sl st, (this is an important step but easy to forget). Yarn over again and pull through two remaining loops on hook. This completes the first fsc. To stitch the next fsc insert the hook into the sl st made in the 1st fsc and repeat from

2dc. Ch1. 2dc in same stitch/space

NOTES

  • Pattern is written in size XS-S. Changes for M-L, 1x and 2x are in parenthesis Ch3 is considered first dc.

  • Last st of every row will be place in Ch3 from previous row. Each SH will be placed in the Ch2 of SH from previous row (see stitch diagram)

  • After row 34 (35, 36, 37) on front side; the pattern is broken down into specific sizes, be sure to follow only the directions for your size.
