This is the companion hat to my knitted Brooklyn Alley Cat pussy hat.

The hat is crocheted from the bottom up. Decrease at the top of hat makes the hat hug the head and ears stand out.

Size: 20 inches in circumference x 8 inches long. To fit average adult head

Skill Level: Intermediate

Materials: Approx. 150 yards worsted weight yarn; Size G/6 (4.00mm) and I/9 (5.50mm) crochet hooks or size to get gauge; 4 locking stitch markers or safety pins.

Gauge: Approx. 13 sts = 4 inches.

The pattern uses chain, front and back post double crochet, half double crochet, foundation single crochet, extended single crochet, extended single crochet 2 together and double crochet 2 together. Directions are provided for making the foundation single crochet, extended single crochet and extended sing crochet 2 together stitch. The pattern is written in US terminology and a partial stitch diagram is provided.
