Bria the Butterfly Amigurumi
Today I have for you Bria the Butterfly! She is adorable and the fun part of making her is the wings! They consist of two pieces crocheted together for more structured wings but still allowing movement and for it to be cuddle-worthy! If you have butterfly lovers at home, then Bria is a perfect addition to your crochet amigurumi collection!
HERE ARE SOME BUTTERFLY MEASUREMENTS:
The butterfly Body and head measures approximately - 8 inches long (not including the antennas)
The wingspan is about 11 inches wide.
Big wings when finished, measure approximately - 6 inches long & 3.5 inches wide at the widest part.
Small wings when finished, measures approximately - 4 inches long & 3 inches wide at the widest part.
MATERIALS:
E - 3.50mm crochet hook
Medium Worsted weight (#4) yarn
I used :
Hobby Lobby yarn -
Day Dreamery for the wings
Turquoise for the body
Black for the mouth, and antennas
Light Pink - for the cheeks.
2 - 10mm Safety Eyes
Yarn needle
Scissors
Stitch markers (highly recommend this extra piece of yarn works great) X2
Poly-fil - I use the ones for doll making
(Optional) Pins to help with ears and arms placements.
(Optional) Blush or paint for the cheeks. Add a little at a time. Or use Pink yarn.
