This Dragonpine Designs pattern was designed by Janet Filipchuk.

This shawl is constructed starting with the bottom point and increasing stitches every 4th row to create a triangle with one straight edge and one “stepped” decorative edge. One or two colours can be used, but we suggest 2 strongly contrasting colours for maximum impact. The entire shawl is done in garter stitch with slipped-stitch mosaic. Full written instructions are included.

Gauge: gauge is not critical for this project, but if you do not have the same gauge you may require more or less yarn than stated.

Size: 60” across the zigzag edge, 30” at the deepest point

Materials Required:
730 m Fingering (4-ply) Weight Yarn for one-colour version
365 m Fingering (4-ply) Weight Yarn in each of 2 colours for the 2-colour version
4 mm (US 6) x 80cm (32”) Knitting Needles (or longer, or size required to get gauge)
Stitch Markers (optional)
