Brick and Mortar Shawl
by Eunyoung Kim
This pattern is written for Cast Away Yarn Shop promoting Wine Country Yarn Hop 2021 event. The yarn color is dyed for the shop from Polka Dot Sheep Yarn called “Brick & Mortar.”
The design was inspired by the old brick wall of the shop.
I incorporated with Alpaca mohair blend which is little thicker than the lace weight Mohair/silk blend. It gives more body to the overall shawl design. Being used little less than 600 yards which might be a small size for some, but still has substantial feel to it.
I suggest using 2 different color of fingering weight yarns but you can re-imagine the idea of your own by using different weight or color options.
