Bricklane Tunic
BRICKLANE is an oversized tunic with boat neck, slim fitting sleeves and all-over colourwork on the body. The tunic is knitted seamlessly top down and in the round. You will start by casting on sts for the neck, working a few short rows to shape the neckline and then knitting in the round while increasing sts for the body along the shoulder lines. After that you will increase sts for the sleeves and separate body and sleeves while casting on additional sts for the underarms.
The measurements listed below are for the final tunic after washing and blocking. As the tunic is knitted top-down, you can decide on the length as you go. The pattern and the yardage have been given for an average height of approx. 165 cm / 5 ‘ 5’’, tunic measuring at the hip level and full length sleeves. Please adjust the lengths according to your individual body measurements.
The pattern comes in 7 sizes 1 (2, 3, 4) (5, 6, 7) with bust circumference measuring 136 (147, 158, 169) (180, 191, 191) cm / 54.5 (58.75, 63.25, 67.5) (72, 76.5, 76.5) inches. This tunic is meant to be worn with a very large positive ease of 50 cm / 20 inches and above. The sample is shown in size 4 with positive ease of 77 cm / 30.75 inches at the bust. It is very easy to mix and match different body and sleeve sizes in this pattern.
