Description
This capelet is a perfect accessory for the strapless and shoulder-less dresses this Spring and Summer. With just enough warmth to keep you from shivering as you stroll outdoors in the evening.

The capelet is constructed bottom up, with the collar and edging added on to the main cape structure. Two different lengths are provided in the pattern, including a short version that just covers the shoulders (shown in pink), and a longer version that drapes around the wearer (shown in blue).

The pattern includes stitch diagrams for the cable motifs as well as video tutorials of the cable stitches used (links below). The file also includes a written pattern.

Materials
Short Capelet (Small): 4 skeins of WeCrochet Twill Fingering, color: Rose Water Heather (183 yards per skein). For each size up from small add a skein of yarn.

Longer Capelet (Small): 8 skeins of WeCrochet Twill Fingering, color: Patchwork Heather (183 yards per skein). For each size up from small add a skein of yarn.

Gauge
5.5 sc stitches* in 1 inch, 5 sc rows* in 1 inch.

Capelet Dimensions:
The capelet width is the haf of the circumference of the capelet with no gap between the capelet edges.

Short Capelet:
Small: 21.5 inches wide (double for circumference), by 8 inches long.

Medium: 24.5 inches wide (double for circumference), by 8 inches long

Large: 27.5 inches wide (double for circumference), by 8 inches long

X Large: 30.5 inches wide (double for circumference), by 8 inches long

Longer Capelet:
Small: 21.5 inches wide (double for circumference), by 15 inches long

Notes: The small size fits a model with a 48 inch circumference around both arms and bust (36 inches around bust alone). The capelet on this model has a 5 inch gap between the left and right edges of the capelet at the level of the bust (see photo). If you are a similar size and prefer the edges of the capelet to meet at the bust then go up one size.

Medium: 24.5 inches wide (double for circumference), by 15 inches long

Large: 27.5 inches wide (double for circumference), by 15 inches long

X Large: 30.5 inches wide (double for circumference), by 15 inches long
