Bridgerton House Baby Blanket
The Bridgerton House Baby Blanket is inspired by the iconic, red brick house from the Netflix series ✨
This pattern has been published on my blog, in 6 instalments. I’ve divided it up as follows:
- Introduction
- Making the Brick Blanket
- Adding the Surface Crochet Vines
- Making the Rose Pieces
- Making the Wisteria Pieces
- Assembly
The main blanket is worked back and forth in linen stitch, utilising simple colourwork techniques to create the ‘mortar’ effect between the bricks. Surface crochet is used to create the vines around the perimeter of the blanket. The floral embellishments are created separately, then sewn onto the blanket.
Gauge: 26 sts x 26 rows = 10cm x 10cm in linen stitch
(Linen stitch is worked in repeats of (dc, ch 1). For the sake of this gauge measurement, (dc, ch 1) = 2 sts).
Worked at this gauge, the finished blanket will measure approximately 90cm x 65cm. Gauge is not essential for this project- if your gauge is different, your blanket will just be a slightly different size. Do be aware, though, that you may need to purchase more wool if your gauge is significantly looser than mine.
