Need some break from the greyness around you? Why not grab your favorite gradient skein and wrap yourself in color?

This shawl was originally designed for the Gradient Yarn Shawl Club. A skein of Barkly is 600m long with a gray beginning, however, if you match your 400m gradient skein with a solid color, you can make your Brie Shawl :)

Size
One size: approx. 178 cm/70” wide and 70 cm/28” long at center spine.

Yarn
1 skein of Gradient Barkly (80% superwash merino, 20% silk; 548m/599y per 150g).
Sample shown in color Dreamland.

Needles
4.0 mm/US #6 circular needle (100 cm/40” long).
5.5 mm/US #9 circular needle (any length) for BO only.

Other
4 stitch markers, tapestry needle for weaving, blocking pins.

Gauge
20 sts and 32 rows = 10 cm/4” in St st measured flat after wet blocking.
The gauge isn’t crucial on this project, but differences will affect the finished size as well as the required yardage.
