I was not even 10 years old the first time I saw the film The Sound of Music at the local cinema. Since then, I have seen the movie countless times, even as a live Musical Theatre.
During these strange times we are living in now, it is normal that we feel anxious from time to time. Of course, we can get comfort from our knitting. Apart from that, we can also turn to music as a source of solace. Then, the song My Favourite Things is a wonderful choice. This song illustrates how we can get comfort when thinking about lovely things, for example, “Bright Copper Kettles”.

Note that metreage can vary depending on the length of the sock.
Gauge
The socks are knit with a tight gauge to create a durable fabric.
36 sts and 45 rnds = 10x10 cm / 4x4” in stocking stitch after blocking
36 sts and 45 rnds = 10x10 cm / 4x4” in pattern after blocking
Make sure both round and stitch gauge are correct. That will ensure your socks fit.
For the sample, needles 2.25 mm was used as gauge size needle and 2.5 mm for the colourwork sections, read more under the sections Needles & Notions and Tips & tricks.
I knit with a tight gauge, so you might need to go down a needle size to obtain gauge.
