Bright Eyed Becky
I donate 25% of all sales to animal rescue each month!
Turn around, bright eyes!
An homage to one of the most beautiful people I have met this year, oodles of eyelets and lots of lace lend the name Bright Eyed Becky to this shawl! Becky’s eyes are so full of kindness, hope, and light, and goodness knows we need as much of that as we can get!
I absolutely love this design for spring and summer, but different color choices will bring it into fall and winter, easily!
Thank you to Emma’s Yarn for supporting this project! You are wonderful!
Gauge: Approx. 22 sts and 56 rows to 4” in garter stitch.
Pattern is written, final shawl size is approx. 13” wide by 72” long tip-to-tip.
Important note:
Most knitters were able to finish this one-skein wonder with a 438 yards/100g skein of fingering/sock weight yarn (Be sure to take your gauge!)
A few knitters found themselves several yards short, so, you may want to consider the following, especially if you have less than 12g left when you reach Section 12, Row 5:
- Add a Mini or use leftover yarn from
your stash and introduce this new
Contrast Color (92 yards at the most) in the final Section 12, Row 5.
Use a skein that is 463 yards or
more.
