Bright Hearts Baby Blanket
Happy hearts for a special little one! It’s an on-the-go project
thanks to simple, repetitive stitches.
Make all the motifs and squares, then stitch on the hearts and join the squares with a join-as-you-go technique. Hint: Leave some of the heart tops open to create a secret pocket for a special toy.
Because it’s stitched in a classic, dk-weight yarn, you can substitute many other yarns (and colors) with great success. If you use 2 balls of each of four colors of the Universal Deluxe DK, you’ll have plenty left over to make an extra tier of squares and turn it into a rectangular blanket, if you choose.
The pattern uses American crochet terminology and includes
stitch charts for both right and left handed crocheters.
