Bright Tomorrow is a top down crescent shaped shawl designed to be worked in three colours. However, it is easily adapted to be worked in two colours or even just one. The main body can be worked fewer or additional times to tailor the size to suit your needs.
Size Options: The size as written using Dye for Yarn Tussah Silk Lace – and measures 21.5 inches (55 cm) deep and 89 inches (226 cm) wide after thuggish blocking.
Yarn: The original was knit using three different colours of Dye for Yarn Tussah Silk Lace (700m/100g), 45 g of Yarn A, 31 g of Yarn B, and 18 g of Yarn C.
Any lace weight yarn will be good for this pattern (the same fibre/weight in each of the yarns would work best). You might need to change your needle size for very fine yarns and work more repeats of the main pattern – yardage and bead requirements will alter.
Beads: Just under 400 Matsuno, Miyuki Size 6 Seed Beads or Miyuki Size 5 Triangle Beads.
Instructions: This pattern includes charts and full written instructions with bead placement shown clearly in both sets of directions.
Patterns already set up by KnitCompanion can be purchased, in the KnitCompanion Store, for knitters who like to use KnitCompanion, but prefer to have their charts already set up.
