Spring 2025 Collection: This.Bird.Knits x Manos del Uruguay

Our collection with Annie Haas of This.Bird.Knits focuses on her love of stitch texture and feminine silhouettes. She explores the possibilities of one openwork stitch over several pieces, in different arrangements and at different scales. See how it brings different moods - depending on which Manos yarn is used - that can be mixed and matched for your own style!

//

Holding Fino, our silky fingering weight yarn, and Marina, our merino wool laceweight yarn, together gives stunning color effects and beautiful drape. Two different kinds of faux cable (made by slipping stitches) create an engaging allover pattern, combined the knit-as-you-go front bands, creates a rhythmic knit with minimal finishing.

NOTES
This project is worked with one strand each of Marina and Fino held together throughout.

The finished chest circumferences are twice the back width below the underarms. Although this project does not have side seams, the sides of the garment can be thought to run straight down from the center of the underarms. The fronts do not meet in the center.

The lower body is worked in one piece to the base of the armhole openings then divided for working the upper fronts and back separately. The shoulders are joined using the three needle bind-off method. The front bands are worked at the same time as the fronts, with extensions to finish the back neck.
