Brightline Sweater
The Brightline Sweater is a top-down circular yoke pullover. The neckline of the sweater is cast on and sweater worked seamlessly in the round. Short rows are worked to raise the back of the neckline. Increases are worked in the stockinette areas to the body / sleeve separation point. The body is then knit in the round to the hem. Sleeve stitches are picked up and worked in the round to the cuff.
This design plays with the idea of multiples, implemented in the double neckline, hem and cuff ribbing. Primarily only using one color at a time, this sweater is ideal for an advanced beginner. A small portion of the yoke is knit with a basic two-color stranded design. Vertical stripes of varying length are post-applied to the body and a singular sleeve using a simple Duplicate Stitch embroidery technique, adding variety and visual interest.
