Finished Measurements: Hat is 22” 55.9cm or desired width around.
Yarn: Madelinetosh - Tosh Vintage (100% Merino; 200yds 183m per 100 g ball): 1 skein. Color: Forestry.
Needles: US 4 3.5mm 16” circular or dpns.
Notions: Cable needle, tapestry needle, spare circular needle (see Notes).
Gauge: 20 sts and 30 rows over 4” 10cm in stockinette stitch. Always check gauge to ensure piece matches listed measurements.

This hat is worked in two steps, the band is knit flat and sewn to make a loop.

Stitches are then picked up from one edge of the band and the hat is worked in the round to the top.

The band uses a provisional cast on and kitchener stitch to create an invisible seam over the cables.
